Martello tower at Fornells

Posted by Luis Ameller (Menorca, Spain) on 17 November 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Defense tower constructed during the final period of the british dominations on the island. It would seem the only one prepared fro firing HOTSHOTS, used for defending the bay and nortehrn coast.

What a fascinating structure. I find it interesting that even though this is a defense structure it still has some interesting aesthetic architectural details.
